About Ocean City

One of America’s favorite places to play, Ocean City, is also one great place to live with

miles long and offering a variety of shops, restaurants and amusements. Gillian’s
Wonderland Pier has been a family favorite for generations with more than 30 rides and
attractions. Another popular spot along the Boardwalk is the Music Pier, a venue that
hosts a variety of comedy acts, musicals and other events. The Music Pier is also home
to the Miss New Jersey Pageant and the Ocean City Pops Orchestra. In addition to the
shops along the Boardwalk, there is also a thriving shopping district in Ocean City’s
downtown, including Stainton’s Square, an eclectic blend of shops, galleries and exhibits.
Each year on Columbus Day weekend, the downtown area comes alive with the
community’s Ocean City Block Party, with hundreds of food vendors, crafts, art and
entertainment.

A great place for kids to vacation and an even greater place for kids to live, Ocean City
offers eight miles of beautiful beaches, staffed with lifeguards in the summer months. A
wealth of programs for children and adults is available including sports camps for
basketball, soccer and lacrosse. There are also camps available for lifeguarding, theater
and various arts. The city offers a range of top public facilities that include a par­ 3 golf
course, swimming and fitness center, the Bayside Nature Center, boat ramps and more.
